OCB opened its first Surgery Center in Boston in 1991. Followed by the opening of Cape Cod Eye Surgery & Laser Center in June 1998, Boston Eye Surgery & Laser Center West in January 2007, and Plymouth Laser & Surgical Center in April, 2014. Outpatient Surgery is convenient and cost effective and provides patients with lower out of-pocket expenses.
Boston Eye Surgery & Laser Center has two locations, Boston and Waltham. Both surgery centers have been specifically designed for surgical and laser treatment of the eye. Boston Eye Surgery & Laser Center locations are licensed by the State of Massachusetts and are Medicare certified and accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare, Inc. All procedures at the Center are performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia. Patients return to the comfort of their own home with minimal disruption and discomfort. Most surgical procedures, including pre-and post-operative care require a stay of less than three hours.
