Dr. Fine specializes in cataract surgery and the medical, surgical and laser treatment of glaucoma.  Dr. Fine attended Wesleyan University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. In medical school at Penn, she received the Oliver Memorial Prize for Excellence in Ophthalmology.  As a UCSF resident, she was awarded the Taylor Asbury Award for Clinical Research.   Dr. Fine was honored with the prestigious Heed Foundation Award and completed her glaucoma fellowship training through Harvard Medical School at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Dr. Fine joined OCB in 2003.  She lectures regularly to primary care physicians through Harvard Medical School’s Primary Care Internal Medicine Course.  She is also an instructor at both Harvard Medical School and Tufts, where she is highly regarded for her teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and ophthalmology fellows.  She is the medical editor for The Aging Eye Newsletter, an informative patient education brochure produced by Harvard Health Publications. Dr. Fine lectures at New England Ophthalmological Society (NEOS) as well as national eye meetings on the treatment of cataract and glaucoma. 

Dr. Fine is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.  Dr. Fine also serves on several regional and national committees, including the Digital Media Committee, Eye Care America and the Public Health Education Committee of NEOS.  She is a co-founder of the Women Ophthalmologists of New England Society and is a physician advisor to The Glaucoma Foundation.  She is Secretary and past-Vice President to The Chandler-Grant Society, a group of internationally recognized glaucoma experts.
